New Hospital Drives Inpatient Admissions Up 20%
After AHFD's master planning process, we determined Amery Regional Medical Center needed a new 25-bed facility with an adjacent 60-room clinic. This unique facility is only one of a handful of hospitals in the country to be registered with the Green Guide for Healthcare.
Amery's emphasis on green design to minimize environmental impact included recyclable building materials, roof gardens to lower heating and cooling costs, and a unique drainage system to minimize run-off into the adjacent Apple River. The hospital also features Planetree design elements, which use light and plant life to create an environment of well-being.
The result is a hospital that truly meets the needs of its community, proven by a 20% increase in inpatient admissions compared with the old hospital.
