This $40 million addition to West Penn Hospital was an early example of Partnering and its benefits on complex projects. An existing wing of the hospital was demolished and a new tower built in its place. The work was carried out without disrupting the ongoing operation of the hospital. From planning to project team selection to timing and coordination of phasing and move-in, all the tools developed by AHFD were brought to bear to complete this complex project on time and on budget.
